Derwent Manor Boutique Hotel, Consett

The hotel has an impressive ambiance and spacious rooms, which made for a delightful stay. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues and less-than-ideal service at the bar. The breakfast on one occasion left much to be desired. Overall, while there were enjoyable aspects, attention to detail and service consistency need improvement.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel during its reopening night, where the attentive staff truly made a difference. My room was lovely and comfortable, but some aspects could use a bit of modernization. Dining was a highlight with delicious food, but my experience was marred by a noisy party that went on into the early hours. Overall, it felt like great value, especially with the way the staff treated us.

The staff went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of, especially Peter at the bar, who was incredibly helpful. Although our dining experience had some hiccups, the food quality was commendable, especially during breakfast. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I would definitely return, despite a few service hiccups.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel, thanks to the fantastic price for the package that included a bed, breakfast, and a bottle of Prosecco. The room was spacious and comfortable, complemented by a lovely bar area for relaxing evenings. However, I did experience some noise from wedding guests returning late at night, which disturbed my sleep. Overall, the experience was great, especially with the high-quality dining options.
